Definition of a Fabulous Day

A soccer coaches' reflection on a fantastic day at the soccer tournament.  Some coaches would say that playing in over 20 degrees celsius and not in the rain or snow would be a  fantastic day.  We had that yesterday.  Some would say it was having a 5-0 record and being unbeaten is a fantastic day. We also achieved that yesterday. Yet still others would say taking home the banner and first place was a fantastic day.  We had that as well.

But I would say a fantastic day is when the referee of the tournament tells you that PCA is the best elementary school soccer team he has seen in his career.  Now that is a fabulous day.  He proceeded to say that our team was calm and passed to each other, no matter how talented the receiver of the ball was. The players were willing to sacrifice their own glory for the sake of the team.  He said they were kind and considerate towards one another and other teams.  Showing love to one another is what we strive for as followers of Christ and as students of PCA. And that is a fabulous day!
