Peoples Christian Academy Hosts Dinner and Auction
On Saturday, April 18 Peoples Christian Academy hosted the 2015 PCA Advancement Dinner and Silent Auction Gala. Two hundred guests and volunteers gathered on at the school site, 245 Renfrew Drive in Markham to hear Dr. John Hull, Global CEO of Crossroads Christian Communications, speak on the topic “The People Who Make A Difference”. Ms. Ali Matthews, award winning Christian Singer and alumna of the Academy, accented the event with inspiring music. A gourmet three-course dinner was served and guests enjoyed the silent auction and photo booth.
Dr. Hull, who had been Senior Pastor of The Peoples Church when the school was located at the church in North York, traced some of the history of the school and spoke of the outstanding achievements of some of its graduates. He also commented on the school’s current success, and brought a message of hope for the future progress of the school. Though a relatively small school, he mentioned that its graduates possess vast potential “to make a difference in their world.”
Peoples Christian Academy, which is now in its fourth year in Markham, offers pre-school, all-day Kindergarten and a full academic program from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Rev. Reg Andrews, who is the Director of Operations and Ministry says, “The greatest testimony to the school’s quality of education is the many ways our graduates, over our 43 years of operation, have gone on to have a profound influence in our society and, literally, around the world.” For more info, please go to http://pca.ca.
