We are so excited to announce that three of our Middle School science projects have been awarded Silver and Bronze Medals at the York Region Science and Technology Fair! Our team included 6 students in Gr. 7 and 8 respectively, who presented 5 science projects at the Fair. They competed against 133 other projects ranging from Gr. 7 to 12, and representing both private and public schools in York Region.
Big congratulations to Dionne C. who won Bronze (project entitled “The Colourful Cure”), Kayleigh C. and Elizabeth S. (joint project entitled “Smells Ring A Bell”), and Benjamin A. (project entitled “Fighting Fire with Aerogel”) who both won Silver!
We are so proud of ALL of our Middle School students who put so much effort into their science projects. All of our Gr. 7 and 8 students participate in our PCA Science Fair every March with their own innovative science projects. We are incredibly grateful for the leadership of our science teachers, Mr. Lee and Mr. Atkinson for inspiring, guiding and supporting our students along the way.
