Testimonials – students

Two of the PCA students were in their room and one of them was reading her Bible out loud with the book of Proverbs.  There was a knock at the door and they answered.  It was a lady from the next room who came to thank them for the wonderful Scripture she heard being read.  She said the walls are a little thin, but she was so glad because the verses were such an encouragement to her.  The two girls excitedly shared the story and they were overwhelmed with joy by their experience.  Our Vice Principal reminded them that our job is to simply try to faithfully honour God and He will miraculously use us to accomplish His work.

Testimony from 2016/17 Grade 8 Ottawa Graduation Trip

I enjoyed being taught in the Middle School and the teachers have inspired me to continue learning with an open and positive mind.  I appreciate all the hard work of the teachers, it means so much to me.

Thank you very much for maintaining a close connection with me and my friends.  We enjoy the friendly conversations in the hallways.  I am so grateful for the teachers’ presence in my life, for their kindness and friendship.

Thanks for all the advice and counselling… the teachers have been a very important part of my life.  I can’t thank them enough for all they taught me about various subjects, faith, life and everything else in between.

Words will never be able to express how much Middle School has changed my life.  I know the teachers would do anything for us.  My personality was influenced by my class and by the teachers.  Thanks for being our teachers and friends!

I have been at PCA for almost 11 years.  Middle is the transition from Junior to Senior School.  The teachers in the Middle School are amazing, kind, caring and have a great sense of humour.  It is a place where we can freely develop ourselves and find our passions.  Sometimes, I even wanted to fail Middle School in order to stay there.  Now I am in Senior School, but I always visit my Middle School teachers because they communicate with the students and care about them so much.  They are more than teachers, they are my friends and my mentors.  Middle School is almost like my family, my home, and a place where I can find happiness!

PCA has definitely played and continues to play a huge part in the growth of my faith. I’ve been in the school for the past ten years. I’ve found that being in an environment where I’m surrounded by friends and teachers who share the same faith and values have provided inspiring examples. My friends have understood and walked along side me as I’ve grown up. I believe that they will be lifelong friends that will keep me grounded as I move out into the world.

I am so blessed to be in PCA because I have an opportunity to serve both in Canada and out. This year I had the chance to go on the sandwich run for the purpose of spreading the gospel to the homeless in downtown Toronto.  It was at this event that I felt God calling me to do something more.  Soon after the sandwich run the mission’s team was recruiting members and I felt God calling me to participate.  I know I’m not the perfect example but I want to point people to Christ who is prefect.  During the training I have been partaking, I have grown stronger in my walk with God.  Being surrounded by many strong believers, spending time in prayer with them and hearing their testimonies has been really encouraging and it will be a high school memory I will cherish.  I want to come back from Orlando with a stronger desire to serve God and to be bolder about my faith.

I love PCA because it is a place where we can learn freely about God. We can pray and read the Bible, but in other countries we would be prosecuted for praying. We have chapel where we learn about Christ and discuss His teachings in the Bible. We have good teachers that teach our subjects with a Christian perspective. After a while, you can really feel that God is with us, helping us excel with work.

I have been a physical education teacher for about 15 year’s and I am sure I chose that career because of Miss Rose, my PE teacher at Peoples. She made physical education so much fun, which is what I always try to do for my students.
