Day 7 – Final Day with Calvary Chapel
This morning, we had a restful time with God in His word, in prayer, and in song. We also spent time finishing preparations for kids club in the days ahead.
After lunch, we went around the local community inviting people to the local church outreach event this Friday. We were pleasantly surprised at some of the positive responses we received. Please continue to pray that young families and the elderly in the local community would attend this upcoming free dinner and movie event, where the gospel will be proclaimed.
Our third day of kids camp was another great time with the children – many of the boys and girls that had come the first couple days came out again, and some even brought new friends! Curtis, Elyssa, and Justin have grown in confidence and competence in sharing God’s word with the children. Praise God!
We ended the day with great team bonding time, and another wonderful meal with Eric, Richard, and Andrew, our dear OAC staff and intern. It is a blessing for us all as a team to experience their zeal for proclaiming the gospel to the lost and witnessing how gospel conversations just naturally flow from their lips.
Please continue to pray for all the children that we are ministering to at the kids camp – there are only two more days left of kids camp ministry. Please pray specifically that many of the teenage boys that are coming out would be attentive during the teaching of God’s word, and their hearts would truly hear and respond to the gospel. Please pray that the ministry efforts this week through the kids camp would flow into a lasting ministry for Calvary Chapel in the years to come – that these children would continue to be ministered to by brothers and sisters from Calvary Chapel, and they would grow up in the fear of the Lord. Thank you!
