Today, we had the great privilege of ministering to the elderly in an assisted-living community. There were about 20 elderly folks that we rubbed elbows with (American for “spent time with”). Justin shared a bible verse, Curtis shared the three ropes object lesson, and Elyssa shared about the depravity of man and the need for salvation. We taught the elderly an action song, and had the pleasure of getting to know them. One woman was over 100 years old!
We then had some team bonding time on the court! Even OAC Staff Eric Briscoe participated in our friendly competition of bump. We are thoroughly enjoying the weather here in Tampa.
In the afternoon, we had our second day of kids club! It was great to see familiar faces, and new ones also! The children, up to the age of 17, heard a message on God creating the world and how good the world was in the beginning. Elyssa shared a bible verse, Justin shared the Holy Bible book object lesson, and we taught the children a new action song about God being our Creator and King. We had a great time bonding with the kids through a couple parachute games.
Tomorrow we will be giving out flyers around the community to invite people to come out to an outreach event this Friday evening at Calvary Chapel, and continuing our kids club in the afternoon. Please pray for people in the community to attend this outreach event, for God to open the hearts of the children at the kids club to the gospel, and for our team to continue to grow in boldness, humility, and love in proclaiming God’s word. Thank you for faithfully partnering with us for the advancement of God’s kingdom!
